The Youth Awareness and Development Organization (YADO) is a youth lead, peace building, civil society initiative based in Peshawar KP. Whose roots with a core of volunteers in different districts of KP. YADO is a Community Development Organization-based approach with a multi-sector development organization working on a participatory development approach to bring long-term change & sustainable development to society. The idea of a civil society organization evolved in 2020 when a group of likeminded people working in the social, political, democratic, justice, climate, gender, human rights, and development sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and having vast local, sub-national, national and international exposure and experience got together and initiated the dialogue among themselves on issues of humanism, peace, democracy, human rights, gender, right to information, transparency, accountability, data, environment, water, climate, sanitation, hygiene, health, education & other social issues in the province and country. The group concluded the need for an organization which can address the above mentioned issues through a holistic approach promote the value of humanism, pluralism, peace, justice, tolerance, equality, equity, basic human rights, women rights and empowerment, minorities rights, child rights and basic education, women health and nutrition, address democratic and governance issues, conduct research and analysis, initiate dialogues among different segments of the society.
In order to create an environment for establishment of a peaceful, prosperous and developed society for the youth and women-based upon equity and equality.
To struggle for sustainable Human Development through Socio-Economic and political Empowerment of marginalized Communities through Youth engagement, stakeholders as well as community enrolment and enhances their capacities by participatory development approach by extending their access to rights and justice.
Youth must be organized, engaged, trained and educated for their rights and development.
Enhance access of the communities towards the institutions and facilities provided by Government and other stakeholders like health, education and others social services etc.
Mobilize the vulnerable communities for their empowerment through social mobilization process, advocacy and linked them with the respective authorities and institutions.
Ensured women empowerment and gender participation in all sectors of the life.
Support to achieve the targets of SDGs in local context as global strategy for development.
Youth Awareness and Development Organization (YADO) was established in the year 2021 and registered with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
YADO is a non-government and non-profitable organization. The organization is working in the former FATA region since it was established.
The primary purpose of our organization existence is youth awareness and development, women empowerment, livelihood, providing vocational and training centers.
YADO was established for the sole purpose of promoting peace, education, health, women empowerment, institutional development, social & political awareness, cultural & religious harmony, to equip the youth with skills and technical education, eliminating poverty and illiteracy.
Currently YADO is officially designated to represent and operate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province but we are mainly focused on the Newly merged districts (NMDs). However, YADO will extend its activities to the whole of KPK.
YADO has been working in the NMDs for the last couple of years and having vast experience of the issues prevailing in the said region.
YADO has a good team and expertise in the key areas of tribal region to engage the young population and civic engagement in productive activities, peace and trust building activities, strengthening social bonds among different segments of society, to promote tolerance and democratic norms in a diverse society.
YADO has also conducted various conferences, seminars, awareness sessions, speech competitions, workshops and grand conventions with regards to FATA reforms and its implementation, increasing use of drugs and cheating in examinations, settlement of TDPs/IDPs, promoting sectarian-cultural and religious harmony, by involving the local stakeholders, social activists, experts, educationists and district administrations.
YADO has also vast experience with regards to conduct various activities in Erstwhile FATA region such as arranging free coaching academies, grand conventions, school bags-books-ration/food items distributions, arranging camps for membership, admission guidance and facilitation centers.
