The Empowering Youth Seminar was organized to inspire, educate, and mobilize young individuals from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) towards leadership, social change, and active community engagement. The event brought together youth leaders, development practitioners, and civil society representatives to discuss challenges and opportunities for young people in today’s world.
The anniversary of YADO marked an incredible milestone in our journey of empowering youth, building peace, and promoting social change across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was a moment to celebrate our achievements, appreciate our volunteers and partners, and renew our commitment to creating a more just and equitable society.
YADO organized an orientation session for new volunteers at the Social Work Department, University of Peshawar. The session aimed to introduce the volunteers to YADO’s mission, values, and the importance of volunteerism in social change. Led by Umar Farooq (Program Manager), the session encouraged new members to become active participants in creating positive community impact. Khial Zaman (Executive Director) spoke about the power of volunteerism, while Shah Nawaz (General Secretary) explained YADO’s dedication to empowering marginalized communities. The session was designed to inspire and motivate the volunteers, foster collaboration, and provide them with the tools they need to make a meaningful difference in society.
The participants were also briefed by the trainer regarding Local government system that
it is consist of incorporating approach in which power and decision making powers will be assorted among institutions both on horizontal and vertical basis.
What does civic guidance and citizenship mean and how it will benefit the community on reciprocal bases?
How citizen involvement could provide benefits in particulars regarding provision of fairness to them both at domestic as well as social level?
